Inexpensive Swing Sets
Inexpensive Swing Sets
As parents, we want the very best for our children but
realistically that isn't always possible. With the current economic crisis, parents are often forced to choose between what they
would like to give their children and what they can afford to give their children. This may mean that whether
you like it or not you may just have to settle on a less expensive swing set than you would like for your
child. Luckily, there are plenty of options in inexpensive swing sets that still provide your child with plenty of fun and place to
relax and think.
The Old Fashion Swing
Children who grew up in the 50s, 60s and even the 70s didn't
often have that big back yard swing set with all those extra features. Instead, they had a simple tire or wooden swing attached to a sturdy limb of an oak or maple tree
that still provided them with many hours of fun. You too can create a back yard swing set for very little
money with a little ingenuity that your child will enjoy.
What these type of swings lack in variety they make up for in
pure fun. There is nothing like that old wooden swing and the feeling of flight a child feels as they try to reach
the highest branches of the tree. Tire swings too offer endless hours of entertainment for a child allowing them to
sit inside on top of the tire and to even swing standing up. They simply offer hour upon hour of simple
entertainment.
Inexpensive Swing Sets For Toddlers and Young School
Age Children
Of course, there are plenty of inexpensive swing
sets for toddlers and young school age children. Some of the metal swing sets offer a couple of swings, a glider and a slide for
around $100.00 and are perfect for children ages 3-8. Combination metal and plastic swing sets offer the most
versatility at the lowest prices.
Making Inexpensive Swing Sets
Work
There are a variety of ways that you can make inexpensive
swing sets work to offer your child a variety of play experiences. You can add a homemade sandpit to the swing set by purchasing an inexpensive wading pool
and filling it with sand or building a simple wooden frame.
Keep in mind that children can be pretty inventive and they
really don't need a lot of bells and whistles to keep themselves entertained. Give them the basics and let
their imaginations do the rest.
Remember, that swing sets even the simplest ones offer
children a way to relax, unwind, and daydream. While having that big expensive swing set might be nice, there is
something to be said for allowing your child to really enjoy the simple things in life and for that, an inexpensive
swing set will work just fine.
Inexpensive swing sets can be just as
entertaining as their more expensive cousins and remember, you can always upgrade as your resources allow. So, go
ahead, shop around and rest assured that your child will be quite content with even a simple backyard
swing.
